Accessibility in print-based design is often treated as an afterthought, despite the fact that approximately 1 in 6 people worldwide live with a significant disability. The Glass Skin project challenges this mindset, aiming to demonstrate that accessibility can be prioritised without compromising aesthetics.

To achieve this, I developed a brand identity for Glass Skin with accessibility as a core principle, focusing on creating an experience that is both visually striking and inclusive for people with low vision. A high-contrast colour palette, accessible typefaces, large text size, and thick linework were thoughtfully integrated into the brand identity and packaging design to enhance usability while maintaining a modern aesthetic.

By embracing accessibility as an opportunity rather than a constraint, Glass Skin redefines the relationship between accessibility and creativity in branding. This project provides a practical framework for designers to incorporate accessible principles, promoting a more inclusive and innovative design culture.
